Senior Financial Accountant

I am recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant for a venture capital (VC) backed technology client based in Reading. Our client is currently going through a large financial transformation which will provide the opportunity to work outside of your defined role and across the business on interesting projects and tasks.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financials, enhance financial reporting and assist with the audit.

Specific responsibilities:

• Own the balance sheet including reporting and reconciliations.
• Maintain a strong internal controls environment with clear documented accounting policies and processes
• Assistance with the year end audit
• Ensure timely financial compliance and tac filings across the business
• Work with the Financial Controller on any technical finance projects or requirements across the company.
• Management, support and development of one direct report.

Requirements:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA).
• You will have a minimum of two years experience working as a Financial Accountant within industry.
• Strong technical accounting experience with a good working knowledge of statutory accounting and financial controls
• You must embrace change and enjoy the challenge of utilising technology and your experience to optimise a finance function.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop and sustain good working relationships across the business.
• Experience of NetSuite would be advantageous.

Hybrid working - 1 to 2 days per week in Reading office
