My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and in their state-of-the-art offices near Reading. Description
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Process invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Provide financial analysis and reports as required
- Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes
Profile
- Part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably within the media industry
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
