We are seeking a highly skilled Program Planner with expertise in NEC contracts to join our project management team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the NEC contractual framework and a strong background in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and a commitment to ensuring project timelines and resources are managed per NEC requirements


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, maintain, and update the project programme in accordance with NEC contract requirements, ensuring integration of all project activities and alignment with project goals.
  • Work closely with the project management team, site leads, project coordinators, and engineers to understand project objectives, scope, and deliverables, translating these into detailed plans and schedules.
  • Proactively identify and report on project delays, offering solutions and adjustments to senior management to mitigate programme impact.
  • Implement and manage the planning, monitoring, and control processes stipulated by the NEC contract, ensuring timely communication and reporting progress, risks, and changes leading to revised programme submission.
  • Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to facilitate the early warning process, identify potential risks and changes, and contribute to developing mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate collaborative planning sessions with the client and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to project execution, delivery, and programme updates.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses on project progress, performance, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting potential issues and recommending solutions.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with project teams and clients, ensuring open lines of communication and client satisfaction.
  • Carry out Project Control duties with limited supervision and work under own initiative in the production of Project Programmes and Tender Programmes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A basic understanding of performance analysis data and CPI/SPI information.
  • A good working knowledge of MSP, Primavera P6, and MS Excel using advanced formulas is preferred.
  • Member of the APM preferred but not essential.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and lead change effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Work Environment Requirements

  • Security Clearance is required.
  • Site-based role may require travel to other sites to support on-the-ground project requirements.
  • Fast-paced, dynamic project environments that demand adaptability and problem-solving under pressure.
