Area Sales Manager -Contract Furniture PBSA

Remuneration: £35,000-£45,000 + up to £15,000 Commission
Benefits: £400 Car Allowance & Benefits PackageThe role of the Area Sales Manager -Contract Furniture PBSA Higher Education will involve:
- Field sales role promoting a manufacture and distributed range of loose contract furniture
- Selling into the student accommodation market including; universities, PBSA’s (purpose built student accommodation), and Student HMO’s (main contractors in the future)
- Winning projects and frameworks for replenishment within the student accommodation market
- Targeted to achieve £750,000
- Order values vary from; £100-£5,000 for small orders, £5,000-£40,000 package orders and small projects from £50,000-£250,000
- Working closely with the Commercial Director
- Initially only 20% of your time working with existing customers, 80% prospecting for new business (this will become more account management focussed over time as accounts are retained)
- Loads of leads to follow up with from trade shows, LinkedIn and the Commercial Director’s extensive database of contacts etc.
- 2-3 days a week on the road (circa 6 quality client calls per week) rest of time working from home
The ideal applicant will be an Area sales Manager - Contract Furniture PBSA/ Higher Education with:
- Must have 2 years+ field sales experience within the Higher Education/ PBSA/ University/ Education sector
- Our client is very open in respect of what products/ services are sold into the student accommodation sector
- Open to no Higher Education/ PBSA/ University/ Education sector PBSA sector field sales experience at lower end of salary band
- Open to numerous field sales backgrounds such as; fabrics, linen, laundry, insurance, janitorial supplies, chemicals, flooring, lighting, wall coverings etc.
- Furniture field sales experience is not essential (full product training will be provided)
- Fire in the belly
- Driven, resilient self-starter
- Trustworthy, able to work autonomously
- Contacts within universities, higher education, PBSA and education will be useful
