ROLE- Project Manager LOCATION- ReadingTERM- PermanentSALARY- £35,000-£40,000, dependent on experience My client designs, manufactures and installs specialist products. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in the Reading area on a permanent basis.The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Have a solid background in Mechanical Engineering, having worked in Manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of design processes and installation
  • Able to manage an organise multiple projects, taking things from order to installation
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Professional, with the ability to develop working relationships
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient using MS Office
  • Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
Responsibilities include:
  • Manging orders and design processes, organising delivery dates, liaising between the customer and the factory
  • Writing method statements and installation plans
  • Working directly with customers and developing relationships
  • Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
  • Planning and managing resources, both sub contract and direct labour
  • Managing & delivering project plans
  • Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
  • Owning the profit and loss & cash flow
  • Occasional travel for site visits as required
