About the Regional Director / Operations Manager / Operations Director Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Regional Director to lead operations across multiple care homes in the South of England. Based at our Head Office in Reading, this role involves regular travel to our sites across Berkshire and Hampshire.
As Regional Director, you’ll be instrumental in shaping strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting Home Managers, and driving continuous improvement across all services under your leadership.

Key Responsibilities of the Regional Director / Operations Manager / Operations Director
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across care homes in the South of England.
• Guide and mentor Home Managers to achieve excellence in care quality and service delivery.
• Ensure all homes consistently meet CQC compliance and exceed regulatory standards.
• Monitor and enhance key performance indicators, including occupancy rates, staffing levels, financial performance, and resident satisfaction.
• Champion best practices in safeguarding, resident care, and team development.
• Develop and implement regional plans aligned with business goals.
• Lead on recruitment, onboarding, and retention of leadership teams within the region.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure high standards and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with central teams including HR, Finance, Quality, and Compliance.
• Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centred care throughout all services.

About You
We’re looking for a passionate and results-driven leader with strong experience in multi-site care operations.
Essential Requirements:
• Ideally located in or around Reading, Oxford, Berkshire, Hampshire.
• Proven track record as a Regional or Area Manager within the healthcare or care home sector.
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of care sector regulations, especially CQC standards.
• Experience in turning around underperforming services or regions.
• Background in nursing or care home management (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Financially astute with budgeting and resource planning experience.
• Flexibility to travel frequently and stay overnight when needed.
• Ability to handle out-of-hours responsibilities based on operational needs.
