Our client offers specialist Logistics services for a wide range of goods across defence, nuclear and medical.
Description
In the role of Global Freight Forwarding Manager you will have the following responsibilities:
- Overseeing imports & Exports Dangerous Goods & General Freight
- Dealing with HMRC / IATA and any queries
- Main point of contact for AEO, dealing with audits.
- Arranging import and export custom clearances for airfreight shipments and road freight shipments.
- Liaisng with overseas agents
Profile
We are looking to speak with candidates that meet the following criteria:
- Experienced managing within the Freight Forwarding sector
- Good working knowledge of the dangerous goods or highly regulated sectors
- The ability to maximise the financial performance of the team and to encourage the growth of the business
- An effective communicator at all levels with the personal motivation and confidence to have a positive impact within the company and with clients
- Significant experience in developing management teams within a similar complex logistics operation
