IT MANAGER

An excellent opportunity has arisen towork for our prestigious client based at the Head Office in Theale as their UK IT Manager.

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for strategy, planning and budgeting of information technology and systems with the company in support of the company's vision and values.
  • Delivering the IT and communications infrastructure, working with the business to develop, implement and deliver new IT solutions as required.
  • Managing the IT team to ensure they deliver against their day to day responsibilities and provide excellent service delivery to their internal and external customers.
  • Managing, in conjunction with HR, and employee training requirements for all IT database, software or communications equipment.
  • Maintaining, in conjunction with Procurement, key IT relationships through negotiation and administration of supplier contracts and service agreements.
  • Providing IT expertise and acting as a referral point for all core company applications, software packages and complex IT queries.
  • Responsible for providing management information, monitoring and reporting concerns with the office network, both hardware and software.
  • Senior company representative on IT matters with the company's customers (i.e. NHS and Department of Health) including contribution to Bids in respect of IT.
  • Support the Digital Health team and Technical Support Team as required.
  • Work with the compliance team to ensure the companycomply with any regulatory requirement and IT ISO elemants.

The successful UK IT Manager will have the following related skills and experience:

  • Business focused and process driven with a record of achievement within a demanding environment.
  • Able to work as part of a team or alone.
  • Strong ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Previous experience of managing and mentoring a small team.
  • Able to work to 3rd Line and beyond taking responsibility for all the technologies.
  • Experience of managing external support companies, supplies and monetory budget.
  • Familiar with a broad range of medical devices.
  • Educated to degree standard in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Understanding of best practice tools such as PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall and ITIL.
