Residential Property SolicitorReading | Some remote working availableFull-time | PermanentSalary commensurate with experience + excellent benefitsA well-established, multi-office law firm in the Thames Valley is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer to join its growing conveyancing department.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated property lawyer with 5+ years' PQE who is looking to move into a role that combines fee earning with team leadership and supervision responsibilities.The RoleBased at the firm's Lower Earley office (with some hybrid working available), the successful candidate will manage their own varied caseload of residential property matters while supporting the Head of Department in the day-to-day management and supervision of the wider team.The department handles a full range of residential conveyancing matters and is one of the largest of its kind in the region.Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the principal fee earner for transactions allocated
  • Managing a full caseload from instruction to completion
  • Advising clients on sales, purchases, leasehold and freehold matters, transfers of equity and re-mortgages
  • Supporting and supervising junior lawyers and support staff
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and growth of the team

Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum of 5 years' residential conveyancing experience
  • Have strong technical expertise in all aspects of residential property work
  • Be confident, well-organised and commercially minded
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a supportive, team-oriented approach
  • Be comfortable taking ownership of issues and mentoring others
  • Have a friendly, approachable manner and a commitment to high standards of client care
