The Rising Sun, ReadingThis Grade II listed, 16th century Inn is expected to open in June following an extensive refurbishment. The site will benefit from 75 Bar, 100 Restaurant and 130 enclosed Garden covers. This is a fantastic opportunity to put Heartwood on the map in Reading centre, with the opening of one of the town’s oldest and most characterful pubs.
Heartwood Collection is already an award-winning collection of cosy pubs and atmospheric brasseries at the heart of their local communities serving great fresh, seasonal food. We are now expanding the concept into rooms. Our Brasserie Blancs, the French brasserie business inspired by Raymond Blanc and Heartwood Inns (Formally White Brasserie Company) are renowned for being a home-from-home.

Heartwood Collection currently has 14 Brasserie Blancs and 23 pubs with more opening up this year. We aim to grow to 61 sites by 2027 and include pubs with rooms. This could add up to 500 bedrooms to The Collection in the next 4 years. *Hourly rate is based on National Living Wage plus TRONC, and the TRONC is calculated from the previous 6 months' site average. The rate of TRONC for the site you are applying for will be confirmed and discussed at the interview stage.
