Role Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Social Workers to join the Children and Families Team in Redcar and Cleveland. In these roles, you will work collaboratively with children, young people, families, and partner agencies to assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate support services to improve outcomes for children and families experiencing a range of challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertaking assessments of children and families referred to the Children and Families Team, identifying risks, strengths, and support needs.
Developing and implementing child-centered care plans in partnership with children, young people, families, and relevant professionals, focusing on achieving positive outcomes and promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, including practical and emotional support, advocacy, and signposting to relevant services and resources.
Working collaboratively with partner agencies, including health professionals, schools, police, and voluntary organizations, to coordinate multi-agency support packages and facilitate timely interventions.
Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of children and families.
Participating in case conferences, child protection meetings, and court proceedings as required, representing the interests of children and providing evidence-based assessments and recommendations.

Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Experience working within a children and families social work setting, preferably in a statutory child protection or looked after children team.
Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, young people, and families from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to child protection, safeguarding, and the Children Act.
Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and build positive working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
Commitment to promoting the welfare, rights, and voice of children and young people, and ensuring their views and wishes are central to decision-making processes.
