Robert Walters - Financial Accountant - Permanent - Redditch - £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Our client is currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. They offer a dynamic work environment and ample opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be an integral part of our client's finance team, responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial statements, and supporting financial planning and analysis activities. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting processes.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
- Review and maintain the general ledger on a regular basis
- Month-end sales reconciliation and reporting
- Lead and supervise a team of finance staff
- Recharge invoices and control the debtor ledger
- Analyse and report the overhead costs and variances
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance
- Compile the budget for the financial year and monitor the performance
- Prepare and analyse the manning reports and suggest improvements
- Control the depreciation, fixed asset and capital WIP accounts
- Have a working knowledge of payroll management and processes
Key essentials of the Financial Accountant:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong Excel skills
- Good communication skills
