People Solutions are currently looking for Plant Operators to work with our Environmental Services Client based in Redditch.
You must hold a valid Counterbalance Licence for this role.
As this Plant Operator position is for a company that runs a 24hr operation, successful applicants will be required to work either 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am, Monday to Sunday.
This means that overtime is readily available.
A permanent contract will also be a consideration for suitable candidates.

Day to Day Duties
Duties of the Plant Operator will include (but won't be limited to) the following:
- Operate the plant in line with site permits and consents, including monitoring emissions (where applicable) to avoid breaches
- Driving/operating a Counterbalance Truck safely and efficiently.
- Carry out all required operational checks and/or maintenance on site and equipment in accordance with PPM schedule
- Maximise throughput by loading the plant at an appropriate rate and mix/blend – where unsure seek guidance from Supervisor/Team Leader
- Monitor the emission monitoring equipment (where applicable) and take the necessary action to avoid exceed / breaches. Report any breaches to the plant/site manager
- Ensure all waste movements on site from receipt to treatment and/or transfer from site are carried out in accordance with company procedures (SAP) and legislation to ensure all revenue is captured
- Ensure all bins (770ltr) are washed and maintained after each use
- Perform other related duties as required by the Plant Manager
Essential Skills
- To be considered for this Plant Operator role, candidates must possess a valid Counterbalance licence.
- Must be flexible and prepared to work overtime if and when required
Desirable Experience
Experience working in a waste-related work environment or a continuous processing plant is desirable but not essential.
Training
Full training on company policies and procedures will be provided by the client.
