We are proud to be working in partnership with a local based firm who has a sterling reputation, seeking a Finance Manager to take the helm of their accounting team to the next level. This role promises direct engagement with the Head of Finance, placing you at the strategic core of the company's financial operations.
As the architect of the accounting team's success, your remit will include the timely delivery of essential accountancy reporting. Your leadership will be the driving force behind a team of four, steering the transactional side of finance towards excellence, fostering enhancements that amplify financial performance.
Key responsibilities will encompass:
- Steering the accounting team to achieve key objectives.
- Crafting insightful monthly reports, complete with analysis and commentary.
- Reinforcing the financial control framework to ensure unwavering integrity.
- Serving as the primary liaison for audit engagements.
- Overseeing Accounts Payable and Banking operations, including foreign exchange considerations.
- Refining financial and operational reporting to bolster cost management.
- Managing VAT returns and Intrastat submissions.
- Mentoring and nurturing the accounting team's growth.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA or CIMA certified, with a rich background in VAT and commercial arenas. A proven track record in system implementations and process enhancements is essential, coupled with advanced proficiency in Excel. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to forge robust relationships are paramount, as is a flexible approach to working hours when necessary. A minimum of five years in a finance manager role is expected.
