Sonic Summary

The company is seeking to recruit a mechanical fitter with experience in fitting assemblies and machinery.
The role involves building special purpose machinery, testing final assemblies, and installing equipment at client premises.
The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, pneumatics knowledge, and be able to read technical drawings.
Some basic electrical knowledge is advantageous but not essential for the position.
The salary for this position is £33,000 to £35,000 per annum, and the candidate should be willing to travel occasionally.

The company are a manufacturer who supply automated and special purpose machinery to several sectors such as automotive, aerospace, oil & gas, food etc. They are seeking to recruit a mechanical fitter for their operations.

You will part of a friendly team, reporting to the works manager and be responsible for the following;

To build special purpose machinery following engineering drawings
To complete assembly build to correct standard and within deadline
Test, fault find and operate the final assemblies and machinery
Installation and test of pneumatic controls
Installation of equipment at client premises and completion of handover
Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly

As a mechanical fitter you will need to hold the following skills and experience.

Have a strong mechanical aptitude
Previous experience of fitting assemblies and fit / assembly of machinery
Hold good pneumatics knowledge
Able to read and interpret technical drawings
Some basic electrical knowledge will be advantageous but not essential
Willing and able to travel occasionally to clients in the UK and overseas

The client is based in Redditch so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Droitwich, Alcester, Dudley
