The PersonThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • A degree or equivalent is preferable but not essential.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the engineering or industrial sector.
  • A keen interest in technology and engineering would be considered valuable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding targets and driving business growth.

Job description

  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities to expand market reach.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Propose, develop, and execute sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to support promotional activities and campaigns.
  • Support and promote Agents and related activities to enhance sales channels.
  • Attend industry exhibitions, conferences, and customer facilities as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, primarily through web meetings.
  • Manage project and conference follow-ups to ensure timely progress.
  • Gather feedback from completed projects and analyse sales metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts to management to inform decision-making.
  • Utilise and enhance the CRM system to capture and manage market and sales information effectively.
  • Maintaining awareness of orders through to delivery and post sales follow-up.
  • Collaborate with the Proposals Engineer and Engineering team to establish realistic profit margins and sales values.
