Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a student on a 1:1 basis, adapting learning activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the student’s progress and well-being.
  • Support the student in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a 1:1 capacity.
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN (desirable but not essential).
