Systems Engineer/Network Systems Engineer

Exciting opportunity a Systems Engineer to join a global Telecommunications organisation in a established Network/Systems team.
The role involves designing, maintaining and configuring systems as well as working a range of projects, liaising with the projects office, testing new equipment, and delivering projects in accordance with specifications.
This is a rare opportunity to join a market leader in their field working on a wide range of telecommunication and network systems, as well as being involved with a number of different clients and projects.
Day to Day of the role:
- Provide design and configuration for projects.
- Liaise with the projects office to ensure timely delivery of assigned work.
- Test and evaluate new equipment as directed.
- Ensure all technical documentation and drawings are provided and accurate.
- Visit customer sites in support of projects when required.
- Define IP structures for new projects and provide guidance to teams.
- Define equipment lists and specifications for the projects office.
- Verify new software builds meet test criteria and efficiency.
- Support customer meetings to understand and enhance future projects.
- Participate in the Duty MoD/Gov engineer rota and support structure.
- Contribute to new technical proposals and provide training on new systems.
- Liaise with partnered agencies for any trials and maintain flexibility for customer needs.
- Undertake tasks as detailed in the company’s security document.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to achieve DV Security Clearance.
- Broad ICT and Satellite communications experience highly desirable.
- Professional registration is desirable.
- Cisco CCNA, Juniper, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Proven administration skills and a flexible, proactive approach.
- Minimum degree level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Engineering degree preferred.
