Exciting Opportunity for Site Engineers (Rail Sector) in Glasgow

We're partnering with a leading civil engineering contractor to find a Site Engineer based in Glasgow.  Our client is known for their excellent employee retention, commitment to staff development, and expertise in rail and civil engineering projects.  

Role Overview:

  • Plan and oversee site-based works across Scotland.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Review project drawings and specifications.
  • Supervise on-site work, including labour, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Maintain detailed records of site activities.
  • Manage material orders and take-offs.
  • Assist in developing risk assessments and work plans.
  • Day-to-day management of subcontractors and engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in civil engineering, or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer in rail/civil engineering is essential.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure projects.
  • Rail experience is desired.
  • SMSTS certification.
