Electrical Design Engineer

FINTEC recruit is recruiting for an international manufacturing/marine business and looking an Electrical Design Engineer to provide engineering design solutions. Based in Renfrewshire, Scotland. A varied role, working with new product design, involved in upgrades and changes to meet client requests. This is a permanent role, salary commensurate with experience plus benefits. Working Monday to Friday, early finish on Fridays!

Responsibilities:

• Providing engineering design input and solutions
• Meeting with clients in discussing upgrades/modifications to equipment
• Liaison with other internal departments to provide best technical solutions for clients
• Sourcing suitable components and materials
• Create engineering documentation eg specifications/proposals, test procedures and reports etc
• Check detailed electrical drawings in making sure adherence to engineering and company standards and processes

Skills and Experience required for the Electrical Design Engineer role

• Degree qualified – Electrical and Electronics Engineering or have equivalent industry experience
• Possess electrical and electronics design skills
• Skilled in generating design calculations and knowledge of design standards
• Competent with engineering design software tools
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management system for generating and storage of engineering packages.
