Vision for Education are looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a primary school that educates children and young people aged between 4 – 11. Working in this primary school as part of an established team, the desired teaching assistant will be working with and supporting children with their academic work, the teaching assistant role is full time/ long term and will be working Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30am to 15:30pm on a ad hoc basis with the vision to becoming a full time, longer term contract for the right candidate.

As the Learning Support Assistant you will be responsible for supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs and abilities both in and out of the classroom academically and emotionally.

Requirements:

The desired Learning Support Assistant will:

  • Have experience working with children with additional needs
  • Have a patient and caring nature
  • Have the ability to motivate and engage students
  • Have the ability to de-escalate challenging behaviours
