Manufacturing Engineer, Ripley, Derbyshire

Salary £43,000 - £45,000

Adept Resourcing have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manufacturing Engineer to join our client’s team. You will be working on technically complex products and assemblies for flagship UK Defence programs.

The role:

Involved in the designing, developing and installing plant control systems. liaising with designers, researchers and engineering consultants. attending production meetings and forecasting production requirements. calculating production costs that include equipment, time and labour.

Knowledge Required:

• Experienced in CNC Programming (Milling - 5 axis & Turning)

• Experienced in NPI

• Strong CAD/CAM knowledge in modelling and programming • Working knowledge of ERP systems relating to planning engineering processes

• Knowledge of Industry Standard quality requirements, AS9100, ISO9001

• Working knowledge of Siemens NX CAD/CAM (Desirable)

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques (Desirable) • Knowledge of working with a structured NPI process (Desirable)

Experience/ Skills:

Qualified to HNC level minimum

Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision engineering business in a regulated industry

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

Demonstrable experience of defining methods of manufacture for complex products and assemblies.

CAD/CAM experience in a relevant software package would be an advantage

Able to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings.

Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Project.

Capable of working un-supervised and using own initiative.

Good eye for detail with a methodical approach to the task in hand.

Due to the security level of the projects we work on, British Nationality is required for this role.
