Elevation have the pleasure of working with a bespoke manufacturing company based in the Ripley area, who are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team with immediate effect!

Salary: £45,195

Location: Ripley

Hours: 3 shifts rotating- Early finish on Friday afternoon shift

Duties of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

Being proactive within the job focussing on preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance
Helping apprentices
Carrying out risk assessments as and when needed
Working within a team environment so must be a team player, but also work from own initiative when needed
Start up plant ready for production every day
Work on continuous improvement projects
Ensure always adhering to health and safety procedures.
Working to a continuous improvement plan to make yourself and the business the best they can be at all times
Ordering spare parts
General site maintenance duties as and when needed

Desired experience:

You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds – Apprentice trained)
It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
Ideally have 3 years experience within in a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position recently
Must be happy working the 3 shift pattern
Ideally have experience of working in an FMCG/ fast paced environment previously
Must have worked within a manufacturing maintenance background previously
Ideally have some electrical knowledge but not essential for the role
