- Assisting with the preparation of client accounts from either manual records or client summarised information.
- Assisting with bookkeeping duties.
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Processing and inputting VAT figures.
- Journal postings, ledger reconciliations.
- Assisting with statutory returns and submissions to Companies House.
- Assisting with managing client expectations and deadlines.
- Assisting staff with any ad-hoc accounting projects as required.
- Admin support as required to the department.
- Previous experience of working within an accounting role within practice.
- Excellent levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Quality organisational skills.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or studying towards one of the qualifications (essential).
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
