Job duties: Preparation of client accounts, bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT processing, journal postings, assisting with statutory returns
Work schedule: Full time hours between Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an established accountancy firm based in Ripon who are seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant on a permanent, full time basis. As Part-Qualified Accountant your duties will include:

Assisting with the preparation of client accounts from either manual records or client summarised information.
Assisting with bookkeeping duties.
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Processing and inputting VAT figures.
Journal postings, ledger reconciliations.
Assisting with statutory returns and submissions to Companies House.
Assisting with managing client expectations and deadlines.
Assisting staff with any ad-hoc accounting projects as required.
Admin support as required to the department.

Skills required:

Previous experience of working within an accounting role within practice.
Excellent levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
Quality organisational skills.
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or studying towards one of the qualifications (essential).
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
