We are currently recruiting for an established accountancy firm based in Ripon who are seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant on a permanent, full time basis.   • Assisting with the preparation of client accounts from either manual records or client summarised information.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties.
  • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Processing and inputting VAT figures.
  • Journal postings, ledger reconciliations.
  • Assisting with statutory returns and submissions to Companies House.
  • Assisting with managing client expectations and deadlines.
  • Assisting staff with any ad-hoc accounting projects as required.
  • Admin support as required to the department.
 Skills required:
  • Previous experience of working within an accounting role within practice.
  • Excellent levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Quality organisational skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or studying towards one of the qualifications (essential).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
  • Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
