Our client is a manufacturer of precision components to a variety of industries worldwide. They are an established global leader in the technical marketplace, offering more than 100,000 state-of-the-art products used for measurement and process control across many industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Warehouse Administrator to the team based in Birchwood, Warrington.
The Role
Working Mon-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm, the Warehouse Administrator will be working in a small team, interacting with warehouse, customer service colleagues and purchasing teams both in the UK and the third-party logistics company
The main responsibilities for the Warehouse Administrator will include:
- Maintain contact/tracking with vendors and shipping services to ensure deliveries are arriving on time.
- Inter-company communication to advise of stock discrepancies
- Arranging collections with customers for domestic and international delivery
- Creating and updating purchase orders for direct and indirect materials
- Liaising with suppliers on deliveries
- Dealing with 3PL partner & warehouse with any product/administration related queries
- Advising relevant parties of 3PL and intercompany transfer order shipments
- Arranging returns to vendors and our US facilities
- Run job benches and work with Warehouse supervisor to allocate jobs
- Completing any stock adjustments on the system and advising of these to finance team
- Ensuring all open shipments are completed at the end of the day and if not investigating why these have not shipped.
- Maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments and inventory levels
- Problem Solving: Investigating and resolving issues that arise within warehouse operations
What We Are Looking For
The Warehouse Administrator will have a strong background in warehouse administration, ideally within an international logistics/manufacturing business.
You should be/have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse administration role
- Previous experience of dealing with goods in/out and 3rd party couriers
- Ability to update internal stakeholders and customers on stock levels and delivery estimates
- Competent in the use of IT systems such as email, Microsoft Office (Primarily Outlook, Word and Excel) and ERP.
- Work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently, excellent telephone manner
- Able to work across different nationalities and geographies, ensuring the voice of customer is respected
- Must thrive in a high-performance environment.
- Must have the ability to multi-task.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a warehouse environment essential
