We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Mechanical Assembly Technician for our client who are a highly reputable UK leader in the design and manufacturing of specialised/bespoke components for the Nuclear, Oil & Gas and Aerospace industries.

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will carry out mechanical assembly and where appropriate refurbishment of company products.

As the Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be: -

Assembling various components to high standard of build quality.

Carry out functional tests to ensure the good are correct and in full working order prior to despatch.

Maintain stocks of fasteners and fittings to ensure there are no delays to the build.

Assisting in the on time delivery of the company's products.

Provide off-site customer support - whilst not required on a frequent basis, technicians are sometimes required to assist customers with training on products at their premises.

Maintain and comply with Health & Safety rules and regulations at all times.

The successful Mechanical Assembly Technician will have the following skills/experience: -

Must have a recognised apprenticeship or other qualification within a mechanical discipline.

Must have hands-on mechanical engineering experience.

Ability to work from technical drawings.

Experience using hand tools and manual machines i.e. pillar, drill, lathe and mill.

Excellent eye for detail

Excellent communication skills.
