The Community Occupational Therapy Service in Rochdale is seeking an experienced Community Occupational Therapist to join their friendly and skilled team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, supportive environment where you'll play a key role in promoting independence and safety through strength-based, person-centred assessments.

You will be responsible for completing Occupational Therapy assessments for equipment and adaptations, working with adults aged 18+. The role focuses on enabling individuals to live independently and safely within their own homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake strength-based and incremental assessments for equipment and home adaptations.

Manage a varied caseload efficiently across community settings.

Apply a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies influencing community OT practice.

Work collaboratively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote independence and safety.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional standards.

Requirements

Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.

Previous experience in a community setting (essential).

Strong assessment, communication, and organisational skills.

Understanding of legislation relevant to community OT work (e.g., Care Act 2014, Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act).

Ability to work independently after a period of training.
