Art & DT Teacher required within a Secondary school in Rochdale area, The Education Specialists are representing a Multi Academy Trust covering multiple areas across Greater Manchester. to recruit an Art & DT Teacher

They are seeking a Art & Design Teacher to join their department and making a positive influence,School are keen to encourage and inspire their department meaning they are seeking an Resistant Materials teacher who is keen to make a big impact and communicate new and exciting styles of teaching transferring and helping within the DT department too.

This role will be a full time role covering all aspects of DT (Resistant Materials), the successful Teacher will be supported by a technician. Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 will be taught throughout the timetable, candidates will be expected to plan and mark all coursework and attend staff and department meeting, part of their planning will also be spread across group learning schedule within the department.. Candidate will be required to work in partnership with TA's and other members of the department to contribute to the overall success of the pupils.

This role would be a great step for a ECT or a Teacher who is keen to source a role in an established department and to work part of a successful team. The school has high aim for their pupils and wants a teacher who is passionate about increasing pupil attainment.

Candidates will be responsible for;

  • Planning and delivering of engaging lessons
  • Assessment of pupils
  • Report writing
  • Direction of teaching assistants/learning support
  • Attendance at parents evening and other meeting as required
  • Classroom/Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures

Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status/ QTLS or equivalent and have experience teaching in UK secondary schools.

The school will consider and urge for applications from Early Career Teachers.

Candidates must be able to fully commit to the full time role which commences as soon as possible, Pay is negotiable for experience of candidate and also the commitment that follows the role too.

Candidates will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure and will be subject to safeguarding checks.
