We are seeking a highly skilled and immediately available Financial Accountant to join our team on a six-month interim assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing and finance, and will assist with audit processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Day-to-day of the role:- Collaborate with the auditing team to conduct thorough financial audits and ensure compliance with legal and organisational standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
- Analyse financial data and operations to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and policies to enhance the efficiency of the audit process.
- Work closely with other departments to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
- Provide support during the end-of-year audit, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest financial regulations and standards to ensure the organisation’s adherence.
- Proven experience in finance and auditing, with a strong understanding of audit practices and principles.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
