Position: CCTV Operative
Location: Stanley House, Anthony's Way, Medway City Estate, Rochester, ME2 4NF
Line Reporting Manager: Senior Transport Scheduler
Monday - Friday, 06:00am - 16:00pm, 50hour basic week. Overtime available.
Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
- Drive and operate specialist CCTV underground pipe survey rig, working on private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Interpret survey results and prepare comprehensive condition reports to industry standards
- Undertake basic H&S vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shift
- Report all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to line manager
- Ensure all jobs are correctly documented with work tickets submitted at the end of each shift
- Maintain the driver’s log book in compliance with MOT rules and procedures
- Ensure the condition of all issued personal protective clothing and equipment remains fit for purpose, clean and free from defects.
- Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish.
- Undertake ad-hoc duties as and when your vehicle is off the road or you are required to assist other field teams in exceptional circumstances
- Attend meetings, medical and training courses as required
Health & Safety:

CCTV Operative Health and Safety Responsibilities are:
- To understand and comply with the company health and safety policy
- To influence and promote a positive health, safety culture within the organisation and lead by example
- To ensure all works activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with legislative, company policies, procedures and the works RAMS
- To carry out comprehensively and complete in full, all company required health and safety site documentation
- To ensure the company health and safety documentation is read and understood on the tablets
- Ensure VPR’s are carried out and completed in full
- DRA’s are to be carried out for every job and updated where required
- To report all health, safety and environmental incidents to the Line Manager within 2 hours of it happening
Qualifications / Competency:
- Flexible with working hours (we can be very reactive at times and teams are expected to assist as much as they can)
- Must hold a Full UK Drivers License
- Standpipe Usage Competency Training
- Sonde Certificate
- Must have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulations
- Able to deal with the public in a polite and friendly manner
- Able to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotely
- Report into management when required and to complete work tickets, log books etc.
