We are currently recruiting for an Architect to join an award-winning Architectural Practice based in Romsey. This is an exciting opportunity for an Architect to work for a market leader, the candidate must hold previous work experience of working for a national house builder/developer. The successful candidate does not have to be a registered Architect and could be an Architectural Designer subject to having a strong residential background.

Architect Position Overview

  • Work on a variety of exciting residential projects
  • Lead projects, managing a team
  • Liaise with clients / contractors
  • Attend Site Visits
  • Develop project briefs
  • Work from inception to completion
  • Run single large or multiple small projects on a day to day basis and organise, direct and monitor the project team
  • Demonstrate a passion and or desire to excel and to bring that enthusiasm into the office environment
  • Guide and mentor team members

Architect Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience (UK based) working on residential developments
  • Excellent residential layout design & architectural skills
  • Keen interest in both urban design & architecture
  • Good knowledge of the latest legislations and ensuring projects comply with CDM regulations
  • Good understanding of producing associated documents including Design Access Statements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members, along with mentoring junior technicians.
  • Proficiency in using AutoCAD; Revit experience is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously within strict timelines and budgets.
  • Hand drawn sketching an advantage, but not essential
