This vacancy offers both weekend and weekday shifts in the Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire area and is currently on a two week rota basis. Working hours will between 26-29 hours per week with specific shift patterns to be confirmed later in the application process. This vacancy is located in Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire.

Our client is a gentleman in his 50's and lives at home with his wife and two children. The ideal support worker for this role must be proactive in supporting personal development, have a strong ethical value base and have enthusiasm for assisting the client to live their life to the full and as independently as possible. You will be required to support the client with medication, moving and handling with aid of a hoist, support with catheter care and the upkeep of his hydro pool, assisting the client to any appointments and social outings whilst providing support with personal care and meal preparations.

You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client.



Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:

- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- Driver with a full UK driving licence, aged 30yrs and over due to insurance stipulations
- Previous care experience due to the client requiring complex care
- Must be okay to work with dogs in the client's home
- Effective organisation and record keeping skills
- Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a 'person-centred' way
- Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs
- Respect Company policies and procedures
- Be reliable / non-judgemental / caring / responsible / compassionate
- Committed to confidentiality and to treat the client with dignity and respect
