Position: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rowley Regis Primary School
Role: Working with twins who have additional needs

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant at our vibrant primary school in Rowley Regis, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with twins who require extra support due to their additional needs. While you will primarily be assigned to one twin, you will collaborate closely with another dedicated TA and their 1-1 pupil. The pupils, though not diagnosed, are non-verbal and may display occasional aggressive behaviors stemming from their inability to express themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to the twins, assisting them in their learning and social development.
  • Collaborate effectively with the lead teacher, other TAs, and external specialists to implement personalized strategies for each pupil.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported and valued.
  • Utilize creative approaches to engage the twins in activities that promote communication, social skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and any significant incidents, communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly those who are non-verbal and may exhibit challenging behaviors.
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm and composed in demanding situations.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential.

Why Join Us?:

  • A supportive and inclusive school community committed to the success and well-being of every child.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

If you are ready to embark on a rewarding journey where every day brings new opportunities to inspire and empower, we would love to hear from you!
