Job Opportunity: Financial Accountant
Location: Royston, with hybrid working options available.
About the Role:My client, a leading life science company based in Royston, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring financial compliance and driving process improvements across various areas of finance.
Responsibilities:As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:- Ensuring compliance with VAT, Corporation tax, and other regulatory requirements.- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations and supporting month-end close activities.- Preparing statutory accounts and coordinating both internal and external audits.- Providing analytical insights to support decision-making processes.- Implementing and maintaining effective financial controls and processes.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the wider business objectives.
Requirements:To be successful in this role, you should have:- Qualification or active pursuit of CIMA/ACCA/ACA accreditation.- Previous experience in diverse finance roles, preferably within manufacturing.- Knowledge of current financial reporting standards and accounting principles.- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.- Experience with SAP/ERP systems is advantageous.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
