Your new role
Hays Education are currently recruiting a SEND Teacher to work within fantastic SEN School in Rugby. The school values a supportive environment for both staff and pupils and aim to make confident learners.
The school is seeking an experienced Primary/Secondary SEND Teacher, to work full-time. This would be a full class teaching position including planning, preparing resources, marking, and carrying out assessments.
Additionally, this role would include responsibilities to support pupils with SEND, you would be expected to work alongside the SENDCO, write EHCPs, action plans and attend staff meetings. The ideal candidate would have previous experience supporting and deploying SEND Teaching Assistants.
This SEND Teacher role is due to start in September and continue until the end of the academic year.
What you'll need to succeed
* To hold the relevant teaching qualification - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)* Excellent knowledge of SEND provision (previous experience, as a SEND Teacher preferred but not required)* Previous experience working in a similar role.* Strong interpersonal skills with parents, pupils, and staff* The ability to manage challenging behaviour.* To be able to work in partnership with class TA and other staff members.* To create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment
