This role is negotiable, they are not ruling out any pay brackets. Pay is depending on your skills, knowledge and experience, it could be anywhere starting from £35,000 upwards, they are not ruling any money out!! 

Hours of the Fleet Technician / Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Vehicle Maintenance Technician / Car Technician / Auto Mechanic / Van Technician / Fleet Engineer: 
Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30 with an hour lunch
39hrs per week.

My client, a respectable company in building and construction, are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Vehicle Maintenance Technician / Car Technician / Auto Mechanic / Van Technician / Fleet Engineer to join their team at one of the sites in Rugby. 

They require an experienced Technician who can ensure their fleet of vehicles, mainly cars and vans / LCVs are back on road within the shortest time possible. You will be required to service, adjust, and repair vehicles or components using the tools in a safe and proper manner, efficiently and to the required standard.

This role is quite a flexible role, the important part is that the Cars and Vans in the fleet are maintained, so a Fleet Engineer / Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician / Mechanic is needed, however there may be days when all the vehicles and fleet are up together, so you could have the opportunity to learn to do heavy vehicles and plant.

This role does require someone who is able to manage their own time, as you will be the only person working on the cars and vans / fleet. It is an excellent opportunity to manage yourself, be in control and also learn more if desired.


Main duties of the Fleet Technician / Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Vehicle Maintenance Technician / Car Technician / Auto Mechanic / Van Technician / Fleet Engineer will be:
  • Service and Inspect vehicles completely and report upon the vehicles condition, safety and reliability and performance (MOT).
  • Diagnose. observe, recognise and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
  • To interpret and implement technical service instructions data, to ensure a repair or replacement component is replaced or repaired.
  • To draw the Fleet Managers attention to any faults noticed in either the interests of the owner or other faults that could make the vehicle dangerous or illegal if taken out on a public highway.
  • To protect all vehicles under repair against damage and to inspect each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair.
  • To maintain, service, inspect and repair the companies cars, vans and LCVs in the fleet.

As a Fleet Technician / Vehicle Technician / LCV Technician / Technician / Mechanic / Vehicle Maintenance Technician / Car Technician / Auto Mechanic / Van Technician / Fleet Engineer you must be able to demonstrate:
  • Time served Technician with City & Guilds or Equivalent level 3 (Experience without qualifications will also be considered)
  • Safety Inspections
  • Routine Maintenance
  • General mechanical ability.
  • Enthusiastic, Team Player, Flexible.
  • Ability to manage own time
