Randstad is currently seeking a dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join Halton Council's Children in our Care team. This is a full-time position, offering an attractive pay rate of £44 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct child and family assessments collaboratively with the child, parents or carers, and other agencies, ensuring the child's voice is central to the process and risks are appropriately analysed.
  • Develop outcome-focused Care plans and/or Pathway Plans in consultation with children, young people, and/or their parents or carers, prioritising the child's needs, safety, and stability.
  • Actively engage children and young people in the planning process, ensuring their views are clearly represented and valued.
  • Provide timely support, guidance, and services to address identified concerns and ensure the ongoing welfare of children and young people.
  • Safeguard children and young people from harm and promote positive outcomes through timely interventions.
  • Contribute to permanency planning, ensuring children's holistic needs are met in their long-term placements.
  • Collaborate with various professionals and agencies to coordinate appropriate care, education, and health services for children and young people.
  • Adhere to national and local policies, procedures, and legislative guidance in all practice decisions.

Requirements:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS clearance

Experience:

  • Specialisation in working with children
