Veracious Talent Partners are exclusively partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in Wellingborough that’s looking for a proactive and confident Credit Controller to manage their credit control process end-to-end. This is a standalone role with full responsibility for the function — perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, but also values being part of a wider team.
What you’ll be doing:-
Managing the full credit control process, from setting up new accounts to chasing overdue payments

Building strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payments and resolve queries professionally

Allocating payments, reconciling accounts, and preparing aged debt reports

Working closely with the Finance Controller to monitor cash flow and manage risk

Liaising with internal departments to resolve invoice and delivery issues efficiently

Ensuring accurate records are maintained and credit limits reviewed regularly

Previous experience in a standalone or sole-charge credit control role

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Comfortable managing workload independently and taking ownership of outcomes

Proficient in Excel and familiar with financial/ERP systems

Experience in a manufacturing or product-based business is desirable but not essential
