Role: Site Engineer

Location: Wellingborough, NN8.

Hours Of Work: Monday-Thursday 7:40am-4:55pm, Friday 7:40am-12:40pm. 39 hour week.

Basic Salary: £42,000 per annum.

Additional Benefits: Free Parking, £1000 yearly bonus dependant on performance, 33 days annual leave, overtime available during peak periods.

We're recruiting for a Site Manager, to join our client based in Wellingborough.

Role responsibilities:

The Site Engineer is responsible for ensuring the business has all the machines, tooling, and equipment to operate the business. Primarily this involves the maintenance of machines and tooling, but also includes maintaining the building services, introducing new equipment and processes in line with the New Product Introduction requirements of the business.

Duties include:

  • Maintaining a safe working environment
  • Minimising machine down time by maintaining and servicing the machines.
  • Providing tooling to the Operations team in line with Quality, Cost and Delivery goals
  • Pro-actively improving machine and process capability and reliability
  • Training members of staff in Preventative Maintenance
  • Making tooling and equipment to minimise costs
  • Keeping service records / making drawings to ensure data integrity is maintained

Key Skills Required:

  • Mechanical Engineering proficient including experience of using traditional and CNC machine tools
  • Hands on experience in a similar role
  • Electrical competence including machine controls.
  • IT literate including MS Office, & Sage MRP. Problem Solving.
  • Formal qualifications such as HND In Engineering and Electrical Certifications are desired but not essential.
