Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a dynamic and growing company recruit a Business Development Manager to target the rail sector, this hybrid role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package, including bonus, pension and car. The business has grown 25% since 2019 and has won several high profile contracts in their target sector, it is a very good time to join and be part of the continued success. The business HQ is based in Essex. The role will be national, and potentialy accross Europe when needed.

As Business Development Manager, you will influence and sell to Rail customers resulting in increasing profitable order intake. You will also manage all aspects of customer relationships within Rail and be the voice of the customer in the business. You'll also actively drive business with global key accounts, including Alstom, Hitachi, Stadler, CAF, London Underground/TfL, first-tier Engineering businesses and consultants

In your first few weeks in this Business Development Manager role, you can expect to:

  • Provide sales orders at or above profitable target levels that meet or exceed budget or target levels
  • Maintain market awareness around all company solution areas through networking, researching and analysing the global Rail and transportation markets
  • Develop and maintain collaborative communication and working with the Directors, other BDM's, Service Engineers, Engineering, Finance and Operations teams
  • Represent the company in a professional manner through all communications that promote growth in business relationships, sales and future profitability.
