A fantastic opportunity which has come about due to big growth plans, in which a reputable national brokerage is seeking to recruit a new Senior Account Handler to be part of the business.

As Senior Account Handler in this highly regarded broking business, you will be the first port of call for all your clients' insurance queries and questions. You will be responsible for gaining an understanding of the client's business and assessing their insurance needs. You will be part of a growing company and will be offering commercial insurance with a wide range of policies/premiums.

You will need to have good proven experience as an Account Handler, with excellent technical knowledge across commercial products and a real focus on always delivering a high-quality service to customers.

You will be joining as part of one of the specialist teams to be based from their office in South Manchester with free parking and an onsite gym, as well as working from home a couple of days per week.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Processing mid-term adjustments.
  • Negotiating renewals with insurers and clients.
  • Dealing with cancellations.
  • Identifying upselling and cross selling opportunities.
  • Maintaining regular contact and building long lasting and effective working relationships with your clients and other internal and external parties.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience within commercial insurance broking with good technical knowledge across a range of products.
  • Will be able to demonstrate good technical knowledge and ideally have experience of dealing with larger cases.
  • A confident communicator with excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills, able to build good relationships with clients.
  • Keen eye for detail, possessing exceptional organisation and administrative skills.
  • Ideally holding or working towards one of the CII qualifications.
