Salford City Council is embarking on a transformative journey to enhance its housing services with a commitment to understanding and improving the experiences of residents in housing need. To achieve this, the Council are now looking to appoint two Business Analysts to conduct an in-depth review of their housing services.
Day to day of the role:- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of up to 50 resident case files to understand their journey through our frontline services.
- Evaluate the availability and quality of signposting and information provided to residents.
- Assess the ease of access to our services and the application of policy and process.
- Analyse timescales for each part of the process to determine if they meet resident expectations.
- Gather insights into the customer experience and ensure the voice of the resident is heard.
- Examine customer expectations and the effectiveness of communication with residents in housing need.
- Identify any missed opportunities in preventing housing need prior to contact with the council.
- Understand the perspectives of staff and leaders across housing services, including Housing Options, Supported Housing, and Temporary Accommodation.
- Provide real-time reports to inform the council’s ongoing programme of work.
- Compile a comprehensive report at the end of the contract period, detailing findings, risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within public sector housing services.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information.
- Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to provide clear and actionable insights.
- Experience in policy and process evaluation within a housing context is highly desirable.
