Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary school based in Salford

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Type of work: Supporting teaching and learning, delivering small group or whole-class sessions, providing targeted intervention support, and assisting with planning and assessment
Start date: January 2026
Duration: 1-term contract (with the possibility of extension)
End date: End of Autumn Term (Term 1)
Contract type: Temporary
Full time/Part time: Full time
Pay rate: Dependent on experience and pay scale
Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
HLTA qualification or equivalent (essential)
Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar classroom-based role
Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year
Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
Have the right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
