Join our team as a Year 5 teacher at our client school in Salford, where they pride themselves on the varied and exciting learning activities they have developed. This role will begin in September and you will be required for the academic year. This role is also open to ECTs looking to begin their teaching career.

The school is a calm, caring and inclusive place where all children are encouraged to aim high and develop to the best of their ability. The school places emphasis on positive behaviour and developing good attitudes towards learning.

As a Year 5 teacher, you will be responsible for planning engaging lessons that will build upon prior learning and support pupils to make positive academic progress to achieve their targets. The school uses a range of learning schemes to support planning and to ensure a spiralling curriculum where all content is covered.

As a Year 5 teacher, you will have the opportunity to join in all aspects of school life from the extracurricular activities to school events such as carnivals and fairs as the school prides themselves on their community spirit.

To be a success in this role, you will need to:

  • Have QTS or QTLS status
  • Have previous experience of managing behaviour and supporting children with SEN
  • Have experience with KS2 classes
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
