Senior Site Manager - Externals

Our privately owned, very successful contractor is seeking a a strong Site / Project manager to deliver an important externals phase of a scheme they are delivering. The business will expand your remit into general Site / Project Management after this scheme. The business delivers general construction specifically medium rise, student accomodation and apartments both new build and conversions.

The role will cover ;

• External packages ona 30m construction scheme in Salford, reporting to the Project Director.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project plans and deadlines.
• Monitor and control daily site operations, ensuring they comply with health and safety regulations.
• Review project plans making necessary adjustments and ensuring accurate implementation on-site.
• Liaise with internal teams, such as architects, engineers, and clients, to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of projects.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to building standards and record all the details on the chosen platform - R Drive etc
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction, providing timely solutions and maintaining positive working relationships.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements and challenges faced on the project.
• Should have a track record in recording works associated with fire protection to cladding/Brickwork etc

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction site management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry regulations.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans and drawings.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's licence.

Desired Experience:

• Previous experience in managing external construction projects.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to the construction industry.
• Working knowledge of fire protection of cladding installation.
• Familiarity with construction software and tools.
