The role
As a Senior Project Controller, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary, operating as individual contributors with some guidance and direction of more senior members of the team and the wider business.

The successful Senior Project Controller candidate is likely to have some experience acquired through practical, 'on the job' training. They will typically be working towards a professional qualification. Individuals will work with solving problems that are routine and standardised but able to work on moderately complex problems with support.

Day-to-day, you will support projects within your delivery team and other large and complex strategic programmes. You will also;

  • Support Project Controls and Reporting improvement activity, and sharing knowledge skills and best practice
  • Deliver project support tasks within assigned team including MS Project, lifecycle briefcase, project reporting, invoicing and other project document creation and management
  • Delivery of project finance tasks include debtors and cash collection, calculation of accruals, collation of cost journals and facility costs
  • Project support to delivery teams and other large and complex strategic programmes
  • Conduct many tasks daily in relations to the building of plans and also scheduling

This role is full-time, with adaptive working available. The role is hybrid with an expectation of 2-3 days working on-site at Boscombe Down.

Essential experience of the Senior Project Controller:

  • Awareness of project management; the project lifecycle, project finances and sales processes
  • Demonstrable competence in SAP, MS Excel (including add-ins), Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Good organisational and record keeping skills with ability to prioritise workload and multitask
  • Experience of working to corporate procedures and the use of corporate tools
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at varying levels

Qualifications for the Senior Project Controller:

  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE, National Level 4/5 (or equivalent)

Please note that all applicants must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
