Role Description

This is a temporary remote role for a Learning Disability Support Worker at Halcyon Health & Social Care. The Learning Disability Support Worker will be responsible for assisting people with learning disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives by providing them with support, care, advice, and guidance. The role requires empathy, compassion, a kind nature, and the ability to come up with creative solutions to problems and think on one's feet.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of six months experience working with people with learning disabilities in the UK.
  • Ability to support people with personal care and manage behaviours that can challenge them.
  • Great communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide person-centered care.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training to improve skills and knowledge.
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature with a positive attitude towards people with learning disabilities
  • A full UK driving license is preferred but not essential.
