We are recruiting for a well-established Asbestos / Environmental consultancy, with a strong reputation and busy portfolio of client sites. They are seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, who has a switched-on and professional approach to their work. Applicants must have strong interpersonal skills as the role will involve liaising with clients and discussing technical matters in great detail. Our client would prefer a candidate based in / around: Salisbury, Amesbury, Tidworth, Andover, Basingstoke, Thatcham, Winchester, Southampton, Fareham, Portsmouth, Gosport, Waterlooville, Havant, Bournemouth, Poole, Shaftesbury, Warminster, Frome, Trowbridge, Reading, Swindon, Wantage, Didcot, Wallingford, Camberley, Aldershot, Guildford, Bracknell, Slough, Chichester, Littlehampton, Worthing.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 & P404 qualifications (or RSPH equivalents)
- Will have strong experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
- Excellent technical knowledge of HSG 264, HSG 248 and UKAS guidelines
- Will have worked for a UKAS accredited company
- Good written and IT skills
- Hardworking attitude
The Role:
- Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across a mix of domestic, commercial and local authority client sites
- Conducting 4 stage clearances
- Completing personal, leak, background, smoke and reassurance air testing
- Working closely on asbestos removals projects to ensure safety guidelines are adhered to
- Producing detailed survey and analytical reports
- Meeting with clients to provide technical advice as well as answer any queries
- Travelling in line with company requirements
