Scantec recruitment are working in partnership with a leading FMCG manufacturing business to assist in recruiting Health & Safety Officer. This role is due to an internal promotion and is a fantastic opportunity to join a key player in their industry who specialise in manufacturing products for global brands. Hours:
Monday to Friday, office hours

Health & Safety Officer - Summary of core responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and implementation of EHS training and development – focussing on continuously improving the knowledge and know-how of all co-workers: implementation of the “Take Action, Take Care” philosophy.
  • Manage and continuously improve the effectiveness of all the EHS committee forums on site.
  • Support the EHS Manager on reviewing all investments and machinery with the support of Project, Maintenance and Operations Managers.
  • Establish and build strong relationships with production floor, Safety and Union Representatives across the business to ensure a proactive Safety Culture within the business.
  • Maintain and improve business Standards to comply with business Key Priorities.
  • Completing monthly KPI, Environmental & CCA Reporting.
  • Support the EHS Manager in the delivery of the Strategic Safety Plan.
  • Support the EHS Manager in the implementation of the EHS systems and processes into the site Integrated Management System; management and control of system to ensure compliance and updated.

Skills & Experience required:
We're seeking a candidate with similar experience as a H&S Advisor / officer within a manufacturing, Engineering or construction background. You will need to be NEBOSH Qualified and have a good knowledge of internal audits, risk assessments and safety process.
