- Lead and manage all aspects of the children's home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and best practices.
- Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated staff team, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous professional development.
- Develop and implement individual care plans for each child, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, to meet their unique emotional and behavioural needs.
- Create a warm and supportive environment, promoting positive relationships, trust, and stability for the children.
- Ensure that all safeguarding procedures are rigorously followed, protecting the welfare and rights of the children in your care.
- Collaborate with external agencies, including local authorities and professionals, to provide holistic support and achieve positive outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance outcomes.
- Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential care setting.
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in children's residential care.
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive engagement with staff, children, families, and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
- Relevant professional qualifications (such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
