If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Registered Manager of a 5-bed children's home located in Saxmundham.Join a reputable organisation committed to providing high-quality support and care to children facing emotional and behavioural difficulties. This role offers the chance to lead an established home and create positive outcomes for children with complex needs.Key Responsibilities for the Registered Manager:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the children's home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and best practices.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated staff team, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous professional development.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans for each child, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, to meet their unique emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Create a warm and supportive environment, promoting positive relationships, trust, and stability for the children.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding procedures are rigorously followed, protecting the welfare and rights of the children in your care.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, including local authorities and professionals, to provide holistic support and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance outcomes.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Qualifications and Requirements for the Registered Manager:
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential care setting.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in children's residential care.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive engagement with staff, children, families, and external stakeholders.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
